Endemol chief executive steps down: reports (Reuters)

AMSTERDAM (Reuters) – Television production company Endemol's chief executive has resigned according to Dutch and British media reports.

Ynon Kreiz is stepping down as Endemol's chief executive, after holding the top job for three years, the Financial Times reported late Friday citing people close to the company.

The Endemol board of directors has appointed Marco Bassetti and Just Spee as temporary replacements for Kreiz, the Dutch ANP news agency reported on Saturday.

The broadcaster, known for global TV hits including "Big Brother" is owned by Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi's Mediaset, Goldman Sach's Capital Partners and Endemol's founder John de Mol's investment vehicle Cyrte.
